Color
Color in a diamond ranges from colorless to yellow with slight tones of yellow or brownish tint, up to the very rare pinks, blues, and greens known as "fancies." The true color of a diamond can only be determined by using a set of Master Diamonds certified by the American Gem Society. Husar's is proud to have a certified set of Master Diamonds in house.
Many jewelers lack the practice, experience, and the equipment to classify a diamond's color correctly. To protect your interest, you must assure that the given diamond is the color grade that the salesperson claims it to be. To insure the accuracy of the diamonds color grade, Husar's uses the world's best diamond colorimeter. This computer technology can grade loose and mounted diamonds in under five seconds. Staying on the cutting edge of technology is just one of the ways Husar's provides its customers with top notch service.
When purchasing a diamond be sure that you see the color corrected lighting and the Certified Master Diamond set used to grade the diamond.
Husar's Certified Color Master Diamonds
When grading a diamond for color the diamond should be viewed from the side and compared to Master Diamonds certified by the American Gem Society. Pictured above are Husar's Certified Color Master Diamonds, which are used to individually grade each diamond's color prior to its sale.
Jewelers who do not have the color corrected lighting and the required Certified Master Diamonds cannot correctly distinguish among the subtle color variations of a diamond. A jeweler who cannot determine the color of a diamond, cannot assure you of its value.
Husar's trained staff will show you their Certified Color Master Diamonds under color corrected lights. They will also assist you in grading your diamond for color and give you written assurance of the diamond's exact color.
